I was making a lot of money, but spending it as quickly as it came in. Between me and my wife, we spent over $1600 per month in car payments! I was not worried, I was bringing in plenty to cover that and expensive dinners, trips to Vegas and other vacations.

If you don’t understand depreciation, it will come back to haunt you when you buy a new car. Depreciation is simply the decrease in value over the lifetime of your car.

As soon as you drive a car off the dealer’s lot it starts to lose value. While you can not stop depreciation of a new car, you can reduce it with some diligent research.

Never thought I would be writing this, but here I am going through bankruptcy. It’s been a long road to this point filled with stress, torment and in the end relief.

I want to document the process and hopefully help some of you out there going through the same thing. It’s always easier to go through something if you know others face the same issues your are going through.

I guess I will start with why I am here and go through the different emotions and stages of bankruptcy in later posts.
