Introduction

Never thought I would be writing this, but here I am going through bankruptcy. It’s been a long road to this point filled with stress, torment and in the end relief.

I want to document the process and hopefully help some of you out there going through the same thing. It’s always easier to go through something if you know others face the same issues your are going through.

I guess I will start with why I am here and go through the different emotions and stages of bankruptcy in later posts.

A little background for you, I am in my 30’s have an engineering education and began working on websites in 1998. My engineering background led me to a good job in a small company making $60k per year and eventually owning the company through an owner financed buyout. The computer Geek in me led me to creating automotive educational websites. My websites in 2005 eventually peaked to earning me $1,000 per day! I was paying off debt, but not saving much. I had plenty of big-boy toys and liked to eat at expensive restaurants.
